Company History

The company commenced business in Hobart in 1927 as a hardware store. During these early years they sold a mixed range of product including Lysaght Roofing, pipe fitting and lead sheet. One constant over the years has been plywood, both local and imported products. A new branch was opened in Launceston in 1971. With both ends of Tasmania covered, the next growth phase was the mainland and this occured in 1999 with the purchase of Australian Plywood in Melbourne and Australian Wood Panels in Brisbane. In 2002 a greenfields site was established in Sydney and finally Estate Timbers in Adelaide was purchased in 2007.
